SOUND STORM European Tour - 13th Dec: JENA

F -Haus, Jena, East Germany: looking out from the windows of the tourbus I immediately realized that this town must be really characteristic. There was a really rich buffet this morning, during breakfast Thomas Vikstrom and his daughter Linnea sang traditional Norwegian songs dedicated to Saint Lucia. You know, in Norway, in honor of Santa Lucia are big celebrations, but also in Cremona we celebrate her, when I was a child she brought me gifts with her donkey :)

Today there was time for a ride, Jena is really adorable: there was a medieval market and a lot of people in costume near the tower...I also saw Masha among the stalls with enchanted eyes...really beautiful! 

We had the chance to climb the tower and enjoy the view from the top: cute houses with roofs all red. 

Then we walked through the old town, we also found a wonderful Christmas market: I bought a ridiculous hat shaped like a teddy bear for which I will be jeer util the end of the tour and some presents.

Unfortunately, then came from home a bad news: the death of my grandmother. I knew was going to happen while I was away, when I left Italy she was almost off... after 3 months in hospital I was prepared, but obviously I feel really bad, even because I can't attend the funeral.

The evening was not so positive: the German audience was bad, but we already imagined this. 

In addition the tourmanager got angry with us tonight because we had to play 5 minutes less: a shame that no one had told us before the show!

The unlucky day ended on the tourbus: someone from Therion tourbus phoned us because one of us was forgotten at the club. Arkona forgot Christoph, their manager! -.-

Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

F-Haus, Jena, Germania Est: quando il tourbus parcheggia guardando fuori dai finestrini mi rendo subito conto che questa cittadina dev'essere davvero caratteristica. Appena arrivati mi sono fiondata sul catering, un buffet davvero ricco stamattina; durante la colazione Thomas Vikstrom e la figlia Linnea si sono messi ad ascoltare su Spotify e anche a cantare canzoni tradizionali norvegesi dedicate a Santa Lucia. Si sa, in Norvegia in onore della Santa si fanno grandi festeggiamenti, ma anche da noi a Cremona è molto sentita: quando ero piccola veniva a portarmi doni con l'asinello :)

Oggi c'è stato tempo per fare un giro e ho avuto la conferma che Jena è davvero adorabile: a due passi dal locale c'era un mercatino medievale vicino alla torre della città con tanto di gente in costume...ho visto anche Masha tra le bancarelle con uno sguardo incantato...bellissimo davvero! Ne abbiamo approfittato per salire sulla torre e goderci dall'alto il panorama: carinissimo lo stile delle casette adagiate fin su una collina e i tetti a punta tutti rossi! Ci siamo poi addentrati nel centro storico dove anche qui abbiamo trovato un mercatino natalizio stupendo: mi sono comprata una ridicola berretta a forma di orsetto per la quale sarò sfottuta fino a fine tour e qualche regalino. 

Purtroppo poi è arrivata da casa una brutta notizia: la morte di mia nonna. Sapevo sarebbe successo mentre ero via, quando sono partita ormai era quasi spenta...dopo 3 mesi di ospedale ero preparata, ma ovviamente ci sto parecchio male, anche per il fatto che non potrò partecipare al funerale.

la serata non è particolarmente positiva: il pubblico tedesco è spento, ma già lo immaginavamo. Inoltre il tourmanager ci cazzia perchè stasera dovevamo suonare 5 minuti in meno: peccato che nessuno che lo avesse detto!!

La conclusione della giornata sfortunata avviene sul tourbus: arriva una chiamata dal tourbus dei Therion che ci avvisano che han caricato uno di noi che era stato dimenticato al locale. Gli Arkona si sono dimenticati Christoph, il loro manager!! Bestiale!! Quando sale è giustamente incazzato nero!!

Speriamo domani vada meglio!
