Yesterday it was the turn of Lausanne: we left from Eindhoven at 2 am and it was a really long trip, also because we stopped 2 hours at the border with Switzerland...we arrived very late at the venue Les Docks, it was 3 pm and because of the delay was not possible for us Sound Storm do the soundcheck.
We were greeted with nice lasagne, a suberb dinner of cous cous and excellent organization. The venue was quite large, with a nice backstage divided into two floors and a balcony reserved for artists to attend live from above.Today was the last day of the tour for Heavenshine, and Thomas Vikstrom from Therion jumped on the stage during their live and sang a duet with singer Miriam on the cover "Phantom of the Opera" from Nightwish: a proof of humility by a great artist. Other duets were then improvised in the after show party, "O sole mio" and opera songs: in the backstage we celebrated them all together...they shared with us more than an half of the tour and definitely we will miss their joy. The Polish band Coma will join us from the date of tomorrow in Romagnano .
Another evening very positive, very large stage and a warm audience: Switzerland gave us great satisfactions, we will soon return there to play the Z7 in Pratteln!
Ieri è stata la volta di Losanna: siamo partiti da Eindhoven alle 2 di notte circa ed è stato un viaggio davvero lunghissimo, a causa anche del fatto che siamo rimasti fermi quasi due ore alla dogana con la Svizzera...siamo arrivati tardissimo al locale Les Docks, erano le 15 passate e per il ritardo non è stato possibile a noi Sound Storm fare il soundcheck. Siamo stati accolti con delle ottime lasagne, una cena a base di cous cous superlativa e un'organizzazione ottima; il locale abbastanza spazioso, con un backstage carino suddiviso in due piani e una balconata riservata agli artisti per assistere ai live dall'alto.
Oggi era l'ultimo giorno del tour dei napoletani Heavenshine, e come sorpresa Thomas Vikstrom dei Therion è entrato in scena durante il loro live e ha duettato con la cantante Miriam sulla cover "Phantom of the Opera" dei Nightwish: una dimostrazione di grande umiltà da parte di un vero artista. Altri duetti sono poi stati improvvisati nell'after show party, dall'italianissima "O sole mio" a brani di opera: il backstage si è animato e tutti insieme li abbiamo festeggiati...abbiamo convidiso insieme più di metà tour e sicuramente ci mancherà la loro allegria tipicamente sud italiana. sarà una band polacca, i Coma, a prendere il loro posto dalla data di domani a Romagnano.
Un'altra serata molto positiva, un palco davvero spaziosissimo e un pubblico partecipe: anche la Svizzera ci ha regalato grandi soddisfazioni, ci si ritornerà presto per suonare allo Z7 di Pratteln!
