It's 2 am , tourbus is parked in the suburbs of Wien , and here we have just found a concert of the American thrash metal band Havok. Today we had a day off , and tourmanager decided to go to Wien. We arrived this morning around 9 am, while Arkona took a van and left for Romania, where they had a gig tonight, they will join us tomorrow in Budapest.
Today we took a ride in the beautiful Vienna, Stefanplatz, the Opera House with a stop at the Sacher Hotel, where they make the world's most famous Sacher cake and of course we ate it :) Unfortunately the weather was bad, it rained all day long with a cold wind and now I'm sick with sore throat and cough...I hope to wake up tomorrow feeling better than now!
Tonight we ended the day with a big Wiener schnitzel, but the surprise of the evening was find the gig of Havok: returning to the tourbus from dinner we heard music behind the walls where we parked and discovered that it is a little club where the American band was playing...of course we enjoyed the live! Tomorrow morning at 7 am we will leave for Hungary, Budapest destination !
Sono le 2 di notte, il tourbus è parcheggiato davanti a dei murales della periferia viennesa, dietro i quali poco fa abbiamo beccato un concerto della band trash metal americana Havok. Oggi avevamo un day off, e il tourmanager ha deciso di passarlo a Vienna. Siamo arrivati stamattina verso le 9, gli Arkona da qui han preso un furgone e sono partiti per la Romania, dove stasera avevano un live: ci raggiungeranno poi domani a Budapest. Oggi ci siamo fatti un giro nella splendida Vienna, da Stefanplatz al teatro dell'Opera con tappa al Sacher Hotel, dove fanno la torta sacher più famosa al mondo e ovviamente ne abbiamo approfittato :) Purtroppo il tempo è stato pessimo, ha piovuto tutto il giorno con un vento davvero gelido e ora sono mezza malata, con raffreddore, mal di gola e tosse...spero domani di svegliarmi un po' più in forma di quanto mi senta ora!
Stasera abbiamo concluso in bellezza con una enorme Wiener Schnitzel, ma la sorpresa della serata è stata proprio beccare gli Havok: ritornati al tourbus dalla cena abbiamo sentito musica dietro i muri dove siamo parcheggiati e abbiamo scoperto che si tratta di un localino rock dove stava appunto suonando la band americana...ovviamente ci siamo goduti il live, spaccano dal vivo! Domani mattina alle 7 si parte per l'Ungheria, destinazione Budapest!
