The journey from London to Leeuwarden in the Netherlands was quite long, but we made a very good sleep after the previous sleepless night: rain welcomed us together with a super venue, a great center of music and culture including a theatre.
The concert hall is huge as well as the backstage...on the second floor there is a long corridor full of dressing rooms, bathrooms, showers, relaxation area, catering and for the first time each band has its own dressing room with web connection working perfectly! Day after day we become familiar with Coma, that even if I still think they are out of context from the musical point of view, they are nice and friendly people. They also brought for the tour a man nicknamed by us "golem" which works at an impressive speed and help us to load in instruments! The soundcheck is very slow, there are problems with keyboards, but in the end everything is solved, we do our good show with an audience already large and they appreciate us a lot. Also this evening was very positive!
When comes the time to leave, the street in front of the venue was crowded with young people, it's saturday night: drunk people who does not let us go...we took half an hour just to get out of this street!
This was our last night on our dear tourbus and we did a little party: Vladimir and Masha from Arkona gave their best with funny moments captured in videos that will remain for a few people :D
Il viaggio da Londra a Leeuwarden in Olanda è stato parecchio lungo, ma ci siamo fatti tutti quanti una gran bella dormita dopo la notte turbolenta precedente: arriviamo che piove parecchio ma ad accoglierci c'è una venue spettacolare, un grande centro di musica e coltura a più piani comprensivo anche di un teatro.
La sala concerti è enorme così come il backstage...al secondo piano c'è un corridio lunghissimo pieno di dressing room, bagni, docce, zona relax, zona catering e per la prima volta nel tour ogni band ha il suo bel camerino con connessione perfettamente funzionante! Giorno dopo giorno familiarizziamo sempre di più con i Coma, che anche se continuo a ritenere siano fuori contesto dal punto di vista musicale, si rivelano belle persone amichevoli e umili. Poi si sono portati in tour un energumeno da noi soprannominato "golem" che scarica tutta la strumentazione ad una velocità impressionante! Il soundcheck è molto lento, ci sono problemi col funzionamento delle tastiere, ma alla fine tutto si risolve, facciamo il nostro bello spettacolo con un pubblico già numeroso e che ci apprezza. Anche questa serata è stata molto positiva!
All'1 arriva il momento di lasciare la venue, la strada di fronte al locale è stracolma di giovani, è sabato sera e siamo in una zona pedonale: scene da panico con gente che sembra volersi buttare sotto il tourbus, che si piazza davanti e non ci fa passare, gente ubriaca che si attacca ai finestrini...impieghiamo mezzora solo per uscire da quel casino! Questa era l'ultima notte sul nostro caro tourbus e abbiamo fatto un po' di festa: protagonisti assoluti Masha e Vladimir degli Arkona che hanno dato il meglio del peggio....momenti esilaranti immortalati in video che rimarranno per pochi :D
