Yesterday it was the turn of 202 Club in Budapest, we arrived quite early and we had the chance to make a walk in the city center, and it was not easy to figure out how to reach it, because no one spoke English!
I must say that the downtown is really nice and we also found Christmas markets, full of traditional food and stalls. We also went to Hard Rock Cafè to buy some t-shirts and then came back to the venue: this is a very particular club, all made by wood and it's great for sounds.
Unfortunately yesterday I felt really bad, too cold taken in Poland and Wien, cough, cold and sore throat with my voice very low.
The concert was ok the same, my voice worked, but this time the audience was a bit cold, not only with us but also with other bands. After the gig I was demoralized and sad, I felt really bad with no voice, but it was nice because everyone took care of me: Lori Lewis from Therion gave me a warm hug and a few advices about how to cure voice, while Vladimir from Arkona brought me cups of hot tea and my band gave me a lot of medicines :D
Now we are back in Wien at the Szene Club, we are going to play here tonight...I feel a little better, but damn, I spent 45 euros this morning in a pharmacy...I hope my voice will work tonight!
Ieri era la volta del Club 202 di Budapest, siamo arrivati abbastanza presto e ne abbiamo approfittato dopo aver scaricato la backline, per farci un giro in centro, e non è stata un'impresa facile capire con che tram raggiungerlo, perchè lì quasi nessuno parlava inglese! Ma alla fine ce l'abbiamo fatta e devo dire che il centro è davvero molto bello, caratteristico e oltretutto anche qui abbiamo trovato i mercatini natalizi, ricchi di prodotti tipici e bancarelle. Breve sosta anche all'Hard Rock Cafè per acquistare qualche maglietta.
Siamo quindi tornati al locale, davvero particolarissimo, tutto in legno e in stile rustico, il che promette bene per quanto riguarda la qualità del suono.
Purtroppo nel proseguire la giornata la salute è peggiorata, troppo freddo preso in Polonia e a Vienna, tosse, raffreddore e un gran mal di gola con abbassamento di voce. Il concerto è andato bene lo stesso, la voce ha retto, stavolta il pubblico però era un po' freddo, non solo con noi ma anche con le altre band. Dopo il live mi sono un po' demoralizzata, son diventata afona e mi sentivo davvero male, ma è stato bello perchè tutti si prendevano cura di me: Lori Lewis dei Therion mi ha fornito un tenero abbraccio consolatorio e qualche consiglio vocale, Vladimir degli Arkona mi portava tazze di tè caldo e la mia band ha sfoderato una quantità impressionante di farmaci :D
