The first day of recordings is gone, Daniele goes on fast and recorded the first four songs, sounds are super and everything is going well . The atmosphere here at Dreamsound Studios is friendly as always, Dejan Djukovic and Daniel Rehbein, the guys who take care of the production, are really smart and work with great professionalism and experience, but we already knew that from the recordings of "Vitriol ", we are happy to work with them again.
In the afternoon Mario Lochert came to visit us in the studio, he will record bass and maybe guitars, like he did for "Vitriol ": it was a pleasure to find him, talk together and listen to his advices about "life on the road", I will take Mario's advices to heart for the tour with Sound Storm, Therion and Arkona. The new Graveworm album was produced here by this excellent team, and also other big names such Visions of Atlantis, Serenity, Edenbridge, etc...we are in good hands!
After the recordings Daniele and I went to the city center...for the first time in my life I see Munich in the period of Christmas markets...a dream! Marienplatz decorated, with lights and little houses with specialties and mulled wine left me speechless, I felt like a little girl in the land of the Elves *-* Wonderful! And there was another beautiful snowfall! To warm up we ended the evening at Hofbräuhaus, the oldest and most famous pub in Munich, in a folk atmosphere with traditional music and happy drunk German people who sang the traditional song "Ein Prosit" in Oktoberfest style. And finally I had my big Bretzel!! It 's always wonderful to come back in Munich, a fairytale city!
Il primo giorno di registrazioni è andato, Daniele procede ad un buon ritmo, ieri sono state registrate le batterie dei primi 4 brani; i suoni sono davvero super e tutto procede per il meglio. L'atmosfera che si respira qui ai Dreamsound Studios è come sempre amichevole, Dejan Djukovic e Daniel Rehbein, i ragazzi che curano la produzione, sono davvero in gamba e lavorano con grande professionalità ed esperienza, ma questo lo sapevamo già dalle registrazioni di "Vitriol", siamo infatti felici di lavorare ancora insieme. Nel pomeriggio è venuto a trovarci in studio anche Mario Lochert, che curerà le registrazioni di basso e probabilmente chitarre come per "Vitriol": è stato un piacere ritrovarlo, fare quattro chiacchiere e ascoltare i suoi consigli riguardanti "la vita in tour"...ne farò tesoro a breve, per il tour con Sound Storm, Arkona e Therion. Il nuovo album dei Graveworm è stato prodotto qui da questa squadra eccezionale, oltre ad altri nomi di spessore come Visions of Atlantis, Serenity, Edenbridge ecc...siamo in ottime mani!
Dopo la giornata i studio io e Daniele ci siamo concessi un po' di svago in centro: è la prima volta che vedo Monaco nel periodo dei mercatini di Natale...un sogno!! Marienplatz addobbata a festa, con le luminarie e le casettine di legno con specialità tipiche e vin brulè, mi ha lasciata a bocca aperta, mi sentivo una bambina nel paese dei folletti *-* Meraviglioso!! E il tutto condito da un'altra bella nevicata!! Per riscaldarci abbiamo concluso la serata all'Hofbräuhaus, la più antica e famosa birreria di Monaco di Baviera, in un'atmosfera folkloristica di musiche tradizionali e tedeschi allegri e bevuti che intonavano i tipici canti "Ein prosit" stile Oktoberfest. E finalmente ho mangiato il mio mega Bretzel!! E' sempre meraviglioso tornare a Monaco, una città da favola!
